Hiral Tipirneni ~ U.S. House, District 6
Hiral and her family moved to America from India when she was three years old. For more than twenty years, Hiral has served as an emergency room physician and research advocate. She has led teams of researchers and clinicians in the fight against cancer. Most recently, Hiral served on the Board of Directors of the Maricopa Health Foundation, which supports her county’s public health care delivery system. She also serves on the Board of Directors for numerous other nonprofits. Hiral also initiated and led a TEDx event about effecting positive change in the Northwest Valley.
On healthcare . . .
Hiral supports expanding Medicare to allow anyone into the system. She believes this is the first step to expanding access to affordable, quality healthcare that covers pre-existing conditions. By expanding choice in healthcare, free-market choices will drive costs down.
On the environment . . .
Hiral wants to make Arizona an epicenter for renewable energy and clean jobs. Hiral supports a pragmatic approach to reasonable environmental regulations. She believes in market-based solutions like “carbon credits” and supports investing in alternative energy like solar power.
Plans for Economy
Hiral will fight to simplify the tax code for families and small businesses. She wants to expand workforce training programs so businesses of all sizes can bring good-paying jobs to our communities.
Hiral wants to strengthen opportunities for our children by investing in quality public schools in every zip code. She is also fighting to make traditional college and career/technical education more affordable, as well as reduce the burden of student debt.
