Diana DeGette ~ U.S. House, District 1
In her many years in Congress, Diana has been a vocal leader for progressivee policies on healthcare, reproductive rights, climate change, consumer protection, and the environment. Diana is Chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, Co-Chair of the Pro-Choice Caucus, Vice-Chair of the LGBT Equality Cucus, and serves on the Committee on Energy and Commerce. Prior to serving in Congress, Diana served two terms in the Colorado House of Representatives and for two years as the Assistant Minority Leader. Prior to her political career, Diana was a lawyer focused on civil rights and employment litigation.

In Congress, Diana is a leader on environmental issues. She works to protect Colorado’s natural resources and public lands while combating climate change. She is fighting to curb carbon emissions and methane waste and pollution. Diana is also working to lower the cost of insulin.

Diana is committed to protecting and improving consumers across our country. In particular, she advocates for the protection of our nation’s food supply.
In Congress, Diana has voted to invest in green public schools, increase funding for federal education, and institute grants for Black and Hispanic colleges.
