Sharice Davids ~ U.S. House, District 3

On healthcare . . .

“I'm working every day to lower the cost of healthcare and prescription drugs, strengthen and expand the ACA, protect those with pre-existing conditions, and improve quality of care.”

On the Environment . . .

“Climate change is indisputably real, and we must take action now to protect our planet for future generations and grow our clean energy economy.”

Sharice is a first generation university student who worked her way through college and law school. Sharice has dedicated her career to economic and community development. In her time as a lawyer, she fought to bring equity and opportunity to all communities. She served as a White House Fellow under President Barack Obama. Sharice is one of the first two Native American women to serve in Congress, and the first openly LGBT Native American ever elected to Congress. In her time as a Congresswoman, she has fought to limit the influence of special interests and make healthcare more affordable and accessible.

Plans for Economy

“Entrepreneurship is baked into the DNA of the Kansas Third District, and I consistently highlight our business community through my work on the Small Business Committee . . . As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I’m working in a bipartisan way to bring much needed economic development to our roadways, airports, railways, local water infrastructure, and more.”

Education Policy

“Every student should have access to quality public education, regardless of their ZIP Code, ability, or special needs.”
