"Democrats are expected to hold the Assembly, but Republicans hope to win back Trump-friendly congressional districts. The GOP is also hoping to avoid further losses in the Senate, a chamber they lost control of in 2018 after more than a half century of domination."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ~ U.S. House, District 14

Alexandria is the youngest woman to serve in the U.S. Congress. She supports a progressive platform including the Green New Deal.

Asha Castleberry-Hernandez ~ U.S. House, District 17

Asha Castleberry-Hernandez is running to represent New York's 17th District. As there are seven (7) Democrats running to represent this district, Dana is on the ballot June 23, 2020.

Carolyn Maloney ~ U.S. House, District 12

Incumbent Carolyn Maloney, who was elected in 1992, will be running in the democratic primary on June 23rd against Lauren Ashcraft, Peter Harrison, and Suraj Patel. The winner will face off against Republican Carlos Santiago-Cano in November 2020.

Dana Balter ~ U.S. House, District 24

Dana Balter is running to represent the 24th District. As she has challengers for the Democratic nomination, she's on the June 23rd primary ballot. In 2018, Dana was the Democratic nominee in this district. She was defeated by the GOP incumbent 53-47.

Evelyn Farkas ~ U.S. House, District 17

Evelyn Farkas is one of many Democratic candidates running to represent the 17th District. Although Evelyn has been a public service her entire life, this is her first time running for elected office.

Grace Meng ~ U.S. House, District 6

Incumbent Grace Meng will be running against Thomas Zmich this coming November.

Jackie Gordon ~ U.S. House, District 2

Jackie Gordon is running against one Democratic challenger, Patricia Maher. That primary is June 23. If she wins, she'll face one of two GOP challengers, Andrew Garbarino and Michael LiPetri. Jackie has been endorsed by Emily's List and per her campaign website, the "DCCC just recognized us as one of the top Red-to-Blue races in the entire country!"

Kathleen Rice ~ U.S. House, District 4

Kathleen is an incumbent running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent New York's 4th Congressional District. She is running against Douglas Tuman (Conservative Party) andJoseph R. Naham (Green Party). The Democratic primary for this office on June 23, 2020 was canceled.

Nancy Goroff ~ U.S. House, District 1

Nancy Goroff, along with three other candidates, is challenging incumbent Lee Zeldin (R) in New York District 1. The primary election will occur on June 23rd. In 2018, Democratic businessman Perry Gershon ran an unsuccessful bid for Rep. Lee Zeldin’s congressional seat, just barely failing to flip the seat with Zeldin receiving 51% of votes and Gershon receiving 47%.

Nydia Velazquez ~ U.S. House, District 7

Incumbent Nydia Velázquez will be running against Republican Brian Kelly, Libertarian Gilbert Midonnet, and Independent candidate Iroghama Omere.

Tedra Cobb ~ U.S. House, District 21

Tedra Cobb is running for Congress against Elise Stefanik. As she is running uncontested for the Democratic nomination, she will be on the 2020 general election ballot in November.

Tracy Mitrano ~ US House, District 23

Tracy is running for election to the U.S. House to represent the 23rd District. She's running uncontested and will be on the ballot in November.

Yvette Clarke ~ U.S. House, District 9

In the Primary election, Incumbent candidate Yvette Clarke will be running against Adem Bunkeddeko, Chaim M. Deutsch, Lutchi Gayot, and Isiah James. Yvette won the general election in 2018 with 89.3% of the vote against Republican Lutchi Gayot.
