Significance of State

"The state voted Democratic in all but two elections through 1948, but has not gone Democratic since, except in the landslide win for Lyndon Johnson in 1964. . . . In 2016, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by 65% to 29%, the fourth consecutive election that the Republican has won by over 30%.

Abby Broyles ~ Senate

Abby is on the ballot in the Democratic primary on June 30th to represent Oklahoma in the U.S. Senate. She faces three other democratic candidates in the primary. If she wins, she will seek to unseat Republican incumbent Jim Inhofe in the November 3d general election.

Danyell Lanier ~ U.S. House, District 2

In the November election, Danyell will face a Republican opponent (determined in the June 30th Primary) as well as Liberetarian candidate Richard Castaldo. She seeks to win the seat of Republican incumbent Markwayne Mullin.

Kendra Horn ~ U.S. House, District 5

Kendra is the Democratic incumbent representing Oklahoma’s 5th district. She will run against Tom Guild in the June 30th Democratic primary, and, if elected as the nominee, face a Republican candidate on November 3rd.

Mary Brannon ~ U.S. House, District 4

Mary Brannon is challenging Republican incumbent Tom Cole to represent Oklahoma’s 4th district in this safe/solid Republican district. Mary ran for the same seat in 2018.

Zoe Ann Midyett ~ U.S. House, District 3

Zoe is on the ballot in Oklahoma’s general election on November 3rd. She faces Republican incumbent Frank Lucas.
