On healthcare . . .

Healthcare is a human right. Through legislation like the Elijah Cummings Lower Prescription Drug Costs Now Act and the Healthy MOMMIES Act, we will find ways to make quality healthcare affordable for everyone. With millions of Texans uninsured and unable to afford medical care, I will continue to push for affordable, universal healthcare for all Americans.

On the environment . . .

Drought, fires, massive hurricanes, and extreme heat are a direct result of the crisis we've created on our planet. People across the nation are expressing to me their concerns about our climate crisis. I'm with you. I will continue to vote for pro-climate legislation like the Climate Action Now Act and my own bill, the Department of Defense Climate Resiliency and Readiness Act. We do not have time to spare in addressing environmental crises.

Plans for Economy

We need to rebuild an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy. By creating a thorough infrastructure bill, which also adapts to our climate challenges, we will rebuild our nation’s crumbling infrastructure and uplift our middle class.

Education Policy

As a former educator, I know education is the key to building success. Investments in education have direct impacts on our workforce and the future of a strong economy. I am committed to making sure our K-12 educators are equipped with the tools they need to give students the best possible future.
